This song brings back a lot of memories for me, too. This song came out when I was in about 3rd grade, and back then, I could've popped in my River of Dreams cassette and listened to this song over and over again, and I'd have never gotten tired of it. Awhile back, one of my best friends told me that he had heard it on the radio, and he remembers it because he and I used to listen to it all the time. It's amazing how much music can tie memories together.

It's not about comparing songs. It's about the tallent of Billy. To that there is no comparing.

The ironir thing with billy is that he only picked the songs that he thought would be flops to do, they turned out to be his greatest success's

its just that they are comparing it to scenes from an italian restaurant, movin' out and piano man, which are some of the best songs everthis is a great song but not on the same level as those

So weird, I have such a similar memory of this song and similar songs from my childhood..

I don't get the hate for this one... It's so great.

It's not worse, it's just different. This is Billy Joel on antidepressants (so to speak) - less thought and soul, less reflection, but more pure, impetuous happiness. |
