overrated. a good game, but not a great one. half life 2 ftw!!!!! this game deserves an 8.5, not a 9.8. halo 2 deserves an 8.0, and halo 1 deserves a 9.5. halo 2's story sucked!!!! and multiplayer was far inferior to 1's and 3's.

It's weird. People first complained about the shortness of Halo CE. Then Halo 2 came out. People were astonished, but at about after a year or so they complained about the lack of customization, but they loved the game's length. In Halo 3, they added more customization options such as your sparatan, your own maps, game modes, etc. But they payed more attention to the online and the customization and people complained that the story was so short.
