everytime i listen to this show, any song, i just get all tingly and stuff just because it makes you really think about life. people don't just talk like this anymore. and i've said this before that the message of this is so great because people always spend their time planning but this musical just shows you need to live full and that just helps. I mean really, who cares about what i'll be in ten years. no one, not even me. so really, i think knowing this musical should be required

Nah, they did sing while shooting (for mouth movements) but the vocals used in the film were prerecorded and put in later.It's in the extras on the DVD.

this is deffently one of the best musical's and films I've seen in the last time . And there are two films (musicals) that even come close to how amzing Rent is ( Moulin Rouge and Phantom)There are very few shows that touch peoples hearts like this does.Deffo one of those shows to see before you die.Oddly enough after watching this , I wanted to move New York and become mates with a crosser dresser !!!La Vie Boheme !

I agree that the movie doesn't suck. Although the play is better then the movie. I saw the movie first and after seeing the play you miss some of the special moments that were left out of the film. Still a great movie though.

I saw this on Broadway and although it was not this cast it was simply amazing. Best modern play of all time.

when filming the movie, did the actors sing while shooting, or was the volcals prerecorded then put in later? i think they sing while shooting.
