first of all, i don't expect everyone to like it just because i do, and i can agree with you that it wasn't his best performance. but at least i'm not the guy putting him down just because this video didn't catch him at his best. realize that it's just a dang video, and a live performance at that too. he's not a freakin' piano with perfect pitch. part of being human is having imperfections, which gives us character.

I didnt say he was terrible-I said I didnt like THIS performance and I said why.Intonation and rhythm are THE MOST BASIC elements of music.Commenting on them is not overly technical so Im not being pissy so stop sounding like such an ignoramus.You also make some annoying assumptions:Why is it automatically good just cause YOU like it?How do you know I dont admire his spirit?How do you know Im always putting down music-or dont love it-or be moved to tears by it-when its good, that is?

hey man.. you're the one getting all technical and pissy about how terrible you thought Bobby was. i'm not saying you can't have an opinion, i'm just saying relax and enjoy not only Bobby's music, but the love and spirit that he puts into what he does. you know that he's an amazing vocalist who can do so many things that you probably can't do. if you always look at things so technically, you'll always be putting down music and never loving it.

As I said, those are my observations and right or wrong, I've backed them up and haven't said anything unfair. So you're denying the validity of listening to music critically? I'm not interfering with anyone's enjoyment, and it sounds like you're the uptight one who needs to relax and stop being intolerant of others' views.And it seems not everyone knows Bach composed it since the 1st poster ignorantly asked me if I "could have composed a better solo" and that's the comment I was answering.

your "valid criticism" is just showing us how ignorant and stuck up you are. you try so hard to prove your point about your knowledge of music that you throw away why music is here in the first place - for us to enjoy. McFerrin obviously LOVED music and was a true artist. also, we know that Bach wrote it and that you couldn't have done better. the question was if you could have done better than McFerrin, which i highly doubt you could. you need to just relax and stop being so damn uptight.

Look at all those negatives I'm getting. But all I've done is make what I believe are valid criticisms and more importantly, backed them up. Anyone giving a negative just because they don't agree with me is being the dishonest one who himself deserves a negative.
