I just noticed another difference that is not as obvious. The palace boss music of the JP version is just 1 loop of the same higher pitched tones, but the US version palace boss music is 2 loops of those higher tones proceding into lower tones back into the higher tones... listen closely and you'll see what i mean.

lol, can also clearly see it at the part that is demonstrating the differences in the raft sound effect, even I missed that the first time. But yeah I agree that the US version is superior graphically, but I think the JP version is superior musically, I also like their battle music better.

Good call. Completely missed that. Went by so fast and the video is quite pixelated. Personally I think that graphically the US version is superior to the jap version, except for the water,

Right in the beginning of the video you can see that the water by the palace is animated.

one thing I heard but wasn't in your vid, is that the overworld water in the jap version is animated. Is that true?

I like the beasty wails of the Japanese horse knight and dragon bosses. It adds an element of creepiness. Can you imagine fighting an armored horse-human hybrid and you can smell its oily stench in the air while the whole time it's snorting and making sounds. It's not just a brainless monster, it thinks and it wants to desperately kill you in order to satisfy its blood-thirsty urge! or something to that effect :P

Japanese version is better! But US version is better created (The tempels are better created)

Japanese music is better.

lol The Japanese version's Dragon battle sounds like there's some kind of alarm going off in the facility.

Funny that the Blue Knights are harder to beat than the Horsehead boss at that point of the game anyway. |
