Yeah so Valve can charge you for it like they did with Day of Defeat, Counter Strike and not to mention Portal. All of these games were made by someone outside of Valve. Without them Valve could only lean of Half-Life 1,2 and episode 1,2 for Half-Life 2. At least id didn't take over Enemy Territory and charge you for it. You can still get that one for free. Mods should be for free. Not to be repackaged and sold on store shelves as standalones.

all you need to play this game is a source game any of them half life 2, half life 2 deathmatch, teamfortress2 , counter strike source , and day of defeat source i hope that answered anyones question about what game you need hope that helped
