Aja is one of my top 5 albums of all time, along with Pink Floyd's The Wall, Dark Side..., Talking heads' Fear of Music, and the Cure's Disintegration. Seems a weird fit, but I know this to be true.

When if money is involed, is not bullshit? I agree the songs in the 70's seems to that people weren't ashamed of the music they played, I doubt that rapper could say the same. Steve Gadd owns!

Steely Dan has the best studio muscians in their band. These guys are just plain geniuses. This song shows their muscianship. This album came out in the late seventy's and it seems it was recorded yesterday. Music today is manufactured bullshit. Real music is rarely played on radio. The music industry is full of shit.

I recall how the guys at Stereo Warehouse (a local hi-fi/record store) would gather around one of the systems to play "Black Cow", paying attention to the vibes. That was their official test record; there was also an FM radio station that employed "Aja" to show off the quality of their "Sansui stereo system".
