alright listen dickhole.the reason i keep telling you to research it is because you have to learn atheism for yourself. i know everything i need to to make my spiritual decisions, but don't feel like wasting a lot of time telling it to you. the point is that if you REALLY want to be able to argue for religion, you need to be better informed. honestly, you sound like an ignorant jackass. i have no problem with religion. i have many christian friends. but you give christianity a bad name.

ok, first off, you keep telling me to research this which makes it seem like you don't really know much about it, or you don't understand it, and i don't care what some guy said, if theres no God, then theres no reason for me not to go out and kill the next person that pisses me off, and that is the fault of atheism

well, the first possibility is morality through god, not religion. if you truly believe god created you, then he instilled you with morality as Immanuel Kant argues in his third meditation. you don't need religion for this.the atheistic point of view, namely through evolution, suggests that human morality is nothing more than highly developed, extremely complex social evolution. there is some very groundbreaking work being done in this area, and if you are interested i suggest you research it.

you are quite ignorant, sir. i suggest you get up to date on some modern philosophies that explain exactly why morality can exist without god. i pity that you feel you have to believe in a higher power for your life to have any purpose. honestly, your reasons for believing in god should be positive, not rooted in the bleakness of a world without god. then you're just admitting self-delusion in the face of absurdity.
