Right, my observation of the last 25 yearssays that there is definitely something wrongwith the main approach to play improvisationalmusic, which I find is due to commercial reasons. You can't be good at spontaneousinvention, if you're clasically trained orstrictly imposed a harmonic system (i.e scale based methods)to play. Computers do the mechanical job better, so let's get rid of our guitars and enjoy the robots play.

Well cant really agree with that... Only a few, there are hundreds(at least) of masters of the guitar. and certainly more than a couple of dozen. But they are few and far between with how many people play it, thats for sure. |
