Just to be partially objective, is there room to enforce that people do not harm themselves? Not all things should be necessarily learnt through experience.

So you say people are greedy, but you want to give the power of a government and armies to greedy people?

This is a really good policy for greedy people who care nothing of those who have bad times in their life and struggle to survive.Capitalism in it's purest form will never work well. Neither will socialism, communism, etc. We must have a mix of these in order to have a healthy society where everyone has an equal chance to achieve their dreams. I don't mind paying my government to organize ways to put out a fire at my house, give my kids education, or support me if i ever need welfare.

It doesn't matter who is presedent, because it is not the people who are the problem. it's the system of in-matrial greed, corruption and power. And as we are living in a "democracy", there will always be sombody else other than the govermntal represntator pulling the strings.

"If the injustice is part of the necessary friction of the machine of government, let it go, let it go: perchance it will wear smooth—certainly the machine will wear out. If the injustice has a spring, or a pulley, or a rope, or a crank, exclusively for itself, then perhaps you may consider whether the remedy will not be worse than the evil; but if it is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then I say, break the law."--Henry David Thoreau.

This should be required material for every single person above the age of 12 (maybe even younger). |
