my guess is that the most messed up body part during these accidents is the back and neck thus the reason they put the airbag on the shoulders and neck and not the knees and nuts and ass bubbs

Wow they destroyed a really nice bike just to demonstrate this. Why not use some rusty 1975 125cc bike??

I think some people are missing the point here... It's not meant to protect your whole body, just add protection to your neck (hopefully preventing it snapping in a bad crash!). Obviously you use it in conjunction with all the other safety gear you should be wearing to make riding even more safe than just wearing conventional leathers etc.
