We tell like that because we know capoeira is nothing more than dancin'.. If U could see what we are doin' in our muay thai gym with capoeira suckers you would understand our opinion.. But I think capoeira isn't so bad - this dancin' style is right for people to week for real martial arts like mouay thai or kyokushin karate. NOT EVERYBODY CAN BE REAL FIGHTER! :-)

Why is everybody trashing capoeira? People always say, "It's justa fancy dance and acrobatics," but it's a lot more than that. Yeah, I have to admit these guys aren't very good, but there are amazing Capoeiristas out there who could kick ass in a real fight.

More along the lines of it's a street martial art, largely intended to be used against opponents who have little to no MA experience. Agreed. Against a black belt level... well.... anything (save for maybe Aikido) it would take a VERY high Capoeira fighter to match them, but against average Joe, it's an effective style.
