Is it that hard to just say no?

He's actually getting a promotion to run the middle east - so it's not too 'big' a question for him. Plus, he's sworn to protect and defend the constitution. Shouldn't he know the answer?IF leadership in the military made political statements, like they did in the Revolutionary War an War of 1812, etc., we would probably not be in Afghanistan or Iraq.

the general doesn't get paid to make these decisions, he just has to try and fix this mistake that has already been made. and if anyone has been in the military you will know that you are not allowed to make political statments that go one way or the other.

Congressman Paul wanted to get those questions on the record, which he did. He saved the most important question for them to answer, which was did the US have the right to bomb another country without getting approval from congress. The general and the other guy were cowards and chose not to answer. The answer was no the US does not have the right to bomb another country. The war machine is bankrupting the US.

oh please give a break! they are capable of commanding 20 thousand men in Irak and they are not capable of remembering a few questions!? nor even answer a single one?! that for me is ridiculous for someone encharged of such important tasks in the destiny of a whole nation. The last Question was even a matter of a YES or NO. If they don't have the brain to retain for 3 mins some questions and have the balls to say "i don't know, my JOB is Irak", I say Lord have mercy on Iraqi people souls.

(reply to LiquidT3nsion)That man(Ron Paul) went on, and on, and on, asking a giant list of questions within three minutes and thirty seconds, not only that, but providing his biased opinion about the topics his questions covered, then leaving the interviewed with a final question. Expecting the two to remember all that he jabbered about, and they didn't even answer them because how could they? Unless they recorded all of his questions he strung out they couldn't have possibly remembered them.

that weak representative gave them time to answer and they just said "huh well u know i don't know" plus he gave away the rest of his time cuz he didn't receive a competent answer to what he felt shocked.

A 3 minute and 30 second question from Ron Paul; that weak representative just likes to hear himself talk.
