Just a quick note to let you know, if you're intending to use this to learn Rails 2.0 or greater there are steps in this tutorial that appear to be missed out, so this tutorial is not relevant for newer versions of Rails.

Theres frameworks like CakePHP and CodeIgniter that follow some of the ideas with RoR.
