What are you talking about? Why do people who lack the intellectual capacity to understand subtle and nuanced issues ALWAYS reduce the issues to stupid, childish anecdotes that are obviously wrong and take things out of context?Do you honestly think that it's at all as simple as studying for a test?Jesus Christ.

"If I should complain for "only" recieving 30 000,- a year after taxes I would be greedy and disgusting person"Well there you go. That's the fundamental difference between both countries. The US (as if you didn't already know) is a greedy and ham-fisted country. Very curious as we are simultaneously supposed to be the most Christian, even though Christ told his followers to sell all their belongings. This country has severe mental issues, we would do good to follow the example of Europe.

Sure, it can depend on each country what system is best for it. To tax itself into prosperity is one thing, but a generally strong state with a functional social-system is important for trying to close the gap between rich and poor, wich welfare is all about. And the state has to get its money somewhere. Scaring people from making businesses and value-creation by taxing to much is offcourse not good, but the golden rule, the far most important thing should always be to avoid poverty -at all cost

note that is your country, every state is different with how they operate as much as that goes. I am talking about America, u clearly say that you are in Norway. What i think would be fair is to have a flat tax like 7% across the board so 7% of $20,000 a year and 7% of people making $2million a year whatever and no a country cant tax itself into prosperity, we tried to do it under Clinton from 1996-1997, he raised taxes on the rich we lost money, when he lowered it, we had more money on hand

Rich people dont work for their money? thats a joke, alot of people that I knoe are very wealthy today had to work very hard for their money. Unless you won the lottery, thats not the case for the majority of wealthy people in this country

...if you`re interrested; here we have 0% tax up to ca 12 000,-$ a year, ca 25% for around 20 000 a year,-$, and I pay 34% and have a income of ca 45 000,- a year. Our max is 45% incometax... If I should complain for "only" recieving 30 000,- a year after taxes I would be greedy and disgusting person, no matter if I work 12 hours a day( wich I acctaully do, but you offcourse cant know if thats true:p), so thats my core opinion on the case.

Yes, I cant either agree or disagree, my knowledge on past american history isn`t all that, and regularly I dont stricly disagree in economic theories because many both right and left-ones have their points both proven and proven wrong in history. All I know is in my country Norway we have a big gap on taxing different levels of classes, and we are at top stats in most international considerated human welfare lists. That can offcourse be because of our large quantums of natural recourses too...

no I'm not a big advocate for Bush or anything I really don't like that fact that he contributed to this crisis or did very little to stop it but also think of this and yes I do know he makes ALOT more money then me and and it makes sense, the harder you work the more you earn simple as that."I contend that for a nation trying to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket trying to lift himself by the handle."- Winston Churchill |
