Jeux sans frontiers - French pronunciation (as it is here in the song): Jzer son frunti-air.Anyone remember the British Royal Family doing a charity game event with celebs in the grounds of Windsor castle in 1986? Called Royal Its a Knockout - based upon the show. The show had national heats and then inter-European competitions. The royals were big fans.

O.K. pseudo intellectual windbags (yes i'm talking to you 'tphoyas') this song is about a game show called 'It's a Knockout'.The winners from each European country took part in an international version called 'Jeux Sans Frontiers'.These contests were staged in various European countries. The black and white footage in the video is from the British heat of 'It's a Knockout'.

peter gabriel had to whistle certain parts of the song because the original writer -phil collins- knew gabriel would steal this song... so he left out that part of the song. when phil collins passes away, the missing lyrics will be read for all the world to hear!!

Peter Gabriel is a musician's musician. Atrue innovator and inventor of odern/contemporary rock. If anyone out theregets a chance to see him live go. His concertsare the best.

Oh wow. I was with TVFREAKMAN, thought it was She's So Popular for years!. It is most definitely Jeux sans frontiers. Thanks for that, If I'd had half a mind, I would've just done a lyric search, but I can only fit so much shit in my head. Thanks regardless.
