Her career was not build out of pity, she has been persistent from a young age regardless of her disability, and she never has capitalized on it. So to speak of it in absolutes is negligible considering her talent warrants recognition regardless of her hearing impairment being often classified as deafness. Cute little fact though...

The festival was in Eindheoven (Holland) and called 'Tromp'. It was also a competition for young musicians and this particular year 2006, focussed on Percussion.

I think that whomever put this vid together gave us a good taste/sampler of the event, and left us wanting to buy it, or see them live. After all, you DO want to actually support some of these artists, no? Any working musician will appreciate that, I think.

It's frustrating watching this and getting into it and then it just cuts to a different song or part of a song. I guess thats youtube for ya'. I would really enjoy watching a more complete version of this show in decent quality. |
