Nope, if you can walk, know your left from your right (a bit anyway), and hold frame (sometimes called giving weight--but mostly to not have loose or spaghetti arms)....then you can do it. The smooth flow-y creative stuff comes later...when you get the moves into your muscle memory. So, GO! Most cities have it and lots of smaller towns in the east.... Have fun!
