I've been to Centralia once and plan on going back to it frequently. Honestly, there isn't much there to really see other than smoke and roads that lead nowhere. The old road is rerouted now. At 0:41 there is an arrow, go behind that and prepare yourself for a nice hike. You can also get to the old road at the top of the hill too though I've never gone down that way. I took a lot of photos and never had anyone run us down. Believe me, we weren't the only tourists there either.

That is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. I need to live there.

That is not really relevant to what Senillonia is saying. And he/she is correct in saying that the creators of the Silent Hill game of which 3 were produced before the movie was made did not get there inspiration from Centralia. However the screenwriter (Roger Avary) for the movie used Centralia as his inspiration for the movie version of Silent Hill. Centralia was not the inspiration for the games and it does not matter that the Centralia fires have been burning longer.

How hard is it to find Centralia?

Wonderful job on documenting this! I've been to Centrailia before, and I think you did an excellent job in pointing out the features that really define the town. One thing I think you should have added is the fact that the fires have been going on in Centrailia for over 40 years now, and that they've tried putting out the fires with no success, but overall great documentary.

ive been to centralia like 6 times and ive never been followed by anyone, if you want to really see something go to the Breezewood Pennsylvania tunnels, google it to get the location, if you do bring bikes and HEAVY DUTY flashlights

My friend and I visited that town yesterday so he could do his report and I could take pictures. We were followed 90% of the time by these hillbillies. No matter where we were, they parked their cars and watched us take pictures. I couldnt find that abandoned highway which really pissed me off. And where were those giant pipes?!?!?! Unless you guys are in a magical place those didn't exist in any part of the town.
