im gonna have to definately agree and say that metal should have solos....loook at the greats of metal, pantera, metallica, megadeth, anthrax, dio, black sabbath, they all had solos, thats what makes music music. These new bands need to get back to that not just screaming as loud as they can into a mic and playin whats been played already

Fuck that, METALLICA owns ALL shit metal including slipknot!!!!In fact Slipknot is probably some of the shittist metal out their, FUCK NU metal, thats the real shit metal and thats exactly what slipknot is!!!At least the guitarists in this band can deliver a sick as duel solo 3:06 while slipknot songs typically don't even have fucking solos!!!
