You don't get it: Micro financing creates a situation in which almost anyone can have a huge impact on the world with basically no risk. This isn't hand-outs that belittle people. A woman given a small loan will do something like organize her village to build a well where the social fabric of her community is strengthened, where a huge,multi-million dollar project to build a dam will destroy the social fabric of the society it was intended to help.
