It's divided into two ensembles, the first is tuned a quarter-tone (higher I think).Awesome piece.

I didn't know this piece needed a conductor lololz. But Ligeti was a great innovator in music, and created new sounds, some coherent (think the viola sonata and string quartets) and some (think Lontano and Lux Aeterna)...not as much lol. |
