Hah, tell that to the religious psychotic zealots. Nobody is better off with false ideas about the world. Religious people included.

YouTube gets a big F in its report card from me. They apparently don't let you post links in comments. I can't even mime them by spelling out parts of the link. (If you don't know what I mean, don't ask; I can't describe it here.) I sent the links to Sandroeleven personally. If anyone else is interested, do a Google search on superstition pigeons and look for links from metacafe and stoweboyd. That's the best I can do. :(

"If you can give a diff site then maybe i would see things differently." Thank you for your attempt at open-mindedness, Sandroeleven. I'm trying to paste two more links, but YouTube isn't letting me at this time. I'll try again later.

I don't think that religion is necessarily better for "fools, simpletons, and criminals." I think ALL people could benefit from a well-rounded education, atheist or not. Even psychopathic killers can brutally murder their innocent victims, and then turn around and spout Christian beliefs.

It doesn't matter that they're a different species. Superstition exists in humans, too. Just look at all of the superstitious beliefs people have: Lucky numbers, lucky rabbits' feet, unlucky 13, broken mirrors and walking on cracks in the sidewalk, astrology, sending chain e-mails to twenty people before something bad happens to you, and on and on. There is no evidence that all of the good things that started happening in your life because you found god. It's called "coincidence."

atheism is a natural consequence of intelligent introspection and examination of one's cherished beliefs. But it would be dangerous for people to turn into atheists without understanding religion first. fools, simpletons and criminals are better off with a religious leaning than not.

I skimmed it. We are a diff species Ellis. I dont like us being comepared to pigeons who are in a controlled environment. That experiment was not really comparable to what I went through. If you can give a diff site then maybe i would see things differently.

Well said.On a side note. I do think Atheists are starting to have an impact on our Western societies. We are starting to push back against some of those religious influenced policies, such as anti-aborition laws. Secularists/Atheists need to take the challenge to religion, especially Islam I think.

One Quick thing to say...Christians say Atheists are evil, and that they are going to hell. Well if thats true then when their judgement condemns them we'll all see them there. Isn't your "god" supposed to do the judging? |
