I can tell you had a religious upbringing because of the "acountability" factor. Atheists will help people because it's the right thing to do (empathy). Religious people help people for the self-centered reason of reserving a place in heaven. Charming.

Interesting. I definitely do believe that blind faith causes terrible actions. However, I think humanity as a whole lacks reason. Even commercialism is causing atrocities now. Someone being trampled to death because others want bargains is a bad sign. Your right, dogmatic religion can be used for destructive purposes. However, only the absence of rationalism can cause people to separate things by two options: good and evil.

Speaking of Dahmer, Aetheism directly led him to do the crimes he did. He told interviewers that this belief caused him to be apathetic about the consequences of his actions in "Confessions of a serial killer." Im not here in the name of a god, by the way, but I do think that the majority of people lose their morality when they don't feel accountable to anything or anyone.

Maybe you should learn more about people like Jeffrey Dahmer. I can't and will never believe any supreme being would save Dahmer while his victims, if not lucky enough to repent in time, and most were young, are all in hell.

See you look at good and bad people, by the things they do. God looks at them for who they truly are. Haven't you seen a REALLY REALLY (wat u consider)good guy do something bad, and a really really (wat u consider)evil person, do something good? This is the reason the world makes the case that ALL truth/good is relative (hows that evn possible??), which is not true. There is only ONE who is Good (which is originally where our concept of good comes from, before it got twisted and screwed up)

Rather than letting this be a reason to "disregard my religion", it shud be the perfect reason.
