If you believe that homeopathic medicine can treat ailments better than medicine that has been scientifically proven to work, you are acting irrational. In this short video James Randi explains homeopathy. This is a portion of the lecture Randi gave at Princeton in 2001. The full video is here: http://www.rationalresponders....

It's is quite rediculour that you refer to science in yoru defence of Homeopathy. Sciencce does keep an open mind yes, but not so much that its brains and good judgement fall out. Science has tested Homeopathy, many times. And every time that science tests it in a non-biased objective way with all confounding removed, results fail to materialize. So don't insult science by claiming it supports homeopathy. Science put homepthay to the test; homeopathy failed.

Dear mkamerfors,Only correcting your erroreous assumption. Don't know you to personally attack you. Sow & reap/cause & effect, i.e. do not condem the opposing veiwpoint unless you want to experience the same. Basic physics - it is the law.Still using a "real" apple stick to measure oranges? All hail the Apple stick for only it can show the way?Buzzzz. Sorry, thanks for playing anyway!(lol) Real science keeps an open mind; it does not spew dogmatic condemnation of that not discovered.

Hear ye. Hear ye. Read all about it! Man bites Dogma!"If there is no evidence for or against it then it is not correct." All hail appleguy77, Lord and ruler of the universe for he has declared that if there is not evidence for or against "it" then "it" can not be correct. 77 continues:"Without proof it will be rejected."And the Church of Scientology will reject it for He has spoken!.Please spare me great and merciful Oz; I a miserable sinner who says the king has no clothes.

Dear sleeve wizzer (kind of wet and smelly ya think bro? lol!)Your post: "The measuring stick is exactly the same for both - "do people get beter because they take it".Only the question is the same. Your assumption that your stick is the only valid tool to measure apples & oranges = BS. Just because the orange does not look like, taste like, or crunch like an apple does not nullify its existance. Only your "stick" for measuring an apple does not work on an orange.

Dear He who take wizz up sleeve(lol),"The difference between classical and quantum physics is that whereas classical mechanics presupposes that exact simultaneous values can be assigned to all physical quantities, quantum mechanics denies this possibility, the prime example being the position and momentum of a particle. According to quantum mechanics, the more precisely the position (momentum) of a particle is given, the less precisely can one say what its momentum (position) is." - Stanford U

Appearently Wizzardsleeve is having difficulty keeping an open mind; the very foundation of the scientific method. By his logic used on homeopathy we would have to stop all research into anything not proven by his "church of scientology." Taken further (as fascist mind sets like to travel) they push laws to prevent further research into any truth that is not preordained by their proclamation. His is a religious trap that we all must avoid on either side of any question to do real science.

Homeopathy sceptic Madeleine Ennis put it to the scientific test. To her horror her tests showed it DID work, there IS a memory of water. Similar results were seen in Mark Elliot's trials and David Reilly's. All are scientists. All came up with positive results.

The applicable English is "I assume" not "presumably." If you could read elementary English you would understand that I made no such claim for homeopathy. I only made the case that there is still a possibility of a future valid measurement and valid explianation. Science is not there yet. You have not proven anything about homeopathy. You've only proved that current science is unable to do the job. You have already exposed your ignorance of quantum physics. My further help is unnecessary there.

That is a blatant lie. Caught lying again Randi/wizardsleeve! On the contrary, study after study has shown Homeopathy to be effective/curative and NOT placebo effect. You can go to the European Council of Homeopathy to see some of them.Randi/wizardsleve, you should stick to your magic shows, deceiving, lying and conning people, you conartist!

The most elementary principles of the scientific method are used as flawed religion. It is assumption that mesurement by a device can explain all that is at hand and if the tool is insufficient, the thing studied can not exist if it is not measured by a particular set of controls in a situation. It only proves that your measuring device can not do the job. Not that there is no explaination or validity. Go back to school and study the philosophy behind the scientific method instead of the dogma.
