R.A.M. is a charity set up to provide medical care to isolated third world communities. It now provides care to America’s working poor. R.A.M. acts as a safety net for those who fall through the cracks.

Some of these people may be irresponsible or short sighted, some are just unlucky. They are however, results of a country that provides medical information through pharmaceutical ads, and financial planning courtesy of mortgage and credit card salesmen. Our educational system has produced uninformed, passive citizens, who are now at the mercy of their own ignorance and a consumption based society that encourages debt and dependency.

    the us citizens are …
the us citizens are too passive for their good.

it’s like the .4 percent of the population is driving
the beast that is the majority.

if we only knew what was going on. if we only had
the appropriate education (political action education), we would be less dramatic and we would control our world to a better place route than the current path.

    I have a practice …
I have a practice in Maryland which allows my patients the privilege of paying what they feel their services are worth to them and what they can afford. Seems like this is a great way to go- donations are being accepted at taneytownchiropractic (dot) com

    I honestly have not …
I honestly have not quite made up my mind on the issue yet, I would like to research it more. It is however interesting to note that the only people in America with a legal right to health care are prison inmates.

    Saying that it’s a …
Saying that it’s a matter of personal priorities, is over-simplifying the problem. I’m sure that with SOME people this is the case. In a couple or three years, when the economic hits the fan, that’s when you’ll see devastation. Of course, by then the Federal govt. can’t aford anything anyway, because the pirates that now occupy the White House, have bled the country dry.

    Fair enough. 1) I …
Fair enough. 1) I never say we are “better” than other countries, only that we are/were more free, and I want to keep my freedom to choose my health care. Everyone in the US has health care. Some health care is just very expensive. Look in the US statistical abstract. We spend 2.4 billion an take away food, 2.2 billion on entertainment, and 6.9 billion on weddings. We can afford more for health care. 2)I hate big bussiness, but I hate big government more. With bussiness there’s some competition

    I’ve got a couple …
I’ve got a couple of questions for you:

    1) Do you agree that something drastic needs to be done to get the US up to the level of countries it likes to say it is better than, or is health care for people in general good enough in the US?

    2) Do you think it’s better to give “We the people” universal health care, or is it better to give socialised support to the GEs, the Raytheons, the Halliburtons and the Lockheed-Martins of the US?

    Healthcare fails …
Healthcare fails workers. Really? So the question is “when DIDN’T healthcare fail workers?” Would that have been the middle ages when the black plague was thought to be a curse from God? The 1700′s when the barber might be able to pull a tooth or cut a limb? The 1800′s when the traveling “doctor” sold snake oil? The industrial revolution, where you were sent home without pay after you were injured? It was 1955 before more people LIVED after going to hospitals than died. What good old days?
